Wagonhammer Trail Sign Volunteer Project
October 5, 2024
Join SVS and the Mountain West Recreation Alliance for a volunteer trail signage installation party near Salmon and North Fork, Idaho. Easily accessible from Highway 93, the Wagonhammer trail network provides awesome mountain biking, access to a lookout and the Continental Divide Trail, and includes part of the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail. We have been tasked by the Salmon-Challis National Forest with improving trail signage in this area, and we need your help! We’ll provide the cedar signs, 8’ wooden posts, and tools but we need your strong muscles to help deliver materials, dig holes for posts, and install the signs!
Dry camping is available at Bobcat Gulch, Red Rock, Tower Rock, and across the Salmon-Challis National Forest. Or choose from a variety of campgrounds and/or lodging options at local businesses.

Light breakfast provided Saturday morning, lunch provided on Saturday, and dinner available to those camping Saturday evening. Please bring your own camping gear, water and hiking gear, including work gloves.

Please RSVP to Alexandria or Kristina with MWRA (admin@mwralliance.org) and let us know your camping plans and any dietary needs.
